Kristine & Ronnie: Wedding

Kristine and Ronnie met in August 2005 at the Clarendon Ballroom. Ronnie was with the Marines in the Silent Drill Platoon. Kristine told me that they just got lucky and stumbled into each other, but I believe it was fate that brought them together that night….not without some minor obstacles though. Ronnie was stationed at Camp LeJune in North Carolina, then got deployed to Iraq and then back to NC. In the end, their love won against all odds and after Ronnie finished his tour of duty, he moved back to DC.
The Day started with some beautiful details and one happy bride.

**Sidenote- In case you wonder why I included an image of the paper beer coasters called “Schmidt’s” {see below}, it is not because I was dreaming about having some R&R on the beach with a beer in my hand…Kristine’s last name is Schmidt and when I found these in her condo, I got a kick out of it:) Yes, these are the small details that I LOVE so much…

Kristine’s sister, Kathy, just knows how to make her little sis laugh and that’s what she did…A LOT

While the girls were doing their thing and goofing around, they guys were doing their thing and striking a pose…but mainly goofin around too.

ceremony time

After Kristine & Ronnie walked down the aisle as husband and wife, I took these

After the ceremony, Ronnie requested we take some images by Iwo Jima, the Marine Corps memorial in Rosslyn and I said “but of course.” I truly love it when the groom has input and really cares about how this important day is captured.

Reception time

I could feel the love surrounding this couple from their friends and family. The toasts were heartfelt and there was not one dry eye in the room.

The father-daughter dance brought me to tears.

And yes, I have to finish this post with some fun dancing.

Kristine and Ronnie, thank you for being so kind and lovely, it was truly an honor to document the dedication and love you have for one another. I wish you the best!!
xoxo,
Inbal

Bea Valdez - WOW–these are some absolutely incredible shots. My favorite ones captured the love in the groom’s eyes (and those are some gorgeous eyes!!). My absolutely favorite, beautiful, and natural shot was the groom resting his lips/head on the bride back shoulders and the bride’s expression of bliss!ReplyCancel
